Study in Horsens is a web portal for international students in Horsens. The site is full of useful information, both for students already studying in Horsens, and also for students thinking about studying in Horsens in Denmark

 

The municipality of Horsens has a website where a brief introduction to the Municipality of Horsens Kommune is given in English.

 

Sprogcenter midt is the place to contact if you are a resident in Horsens and interested in learning Danish.

  

Horsens Health City is an organisation which provides information about social and health promotion activities. Furthermore, they have an extended knowledge of volunteer networks and is thus a great place to begin if you want to hear more about volunteer options. 

  

If you live in the municipality of Hedensted then Tørring Daghojskole is the place to contact in terms of learning the language. 

 

The local Jobcentre in Hedensted has made a brochure, which has different information about moving to Denmark. The brochure is available in Danish, German, English and Polish here.

If you are considering to study VIA University College Campus Horsens offers a variety of full degree programmes and exchange programmes in English. The main webpage at VIA Horsens is so far only in Danish. In 2011 VIA Horsens will also introduce a webpage in English. Until then you can read about the programmes in English here.

Visit the websites of the libraries in Horsens and Hedensted  The libraries have a variety of great things to offer, not only can you borrow books, music, movies - they also offer a number of different events for you to attend, have free internet access, access to a databasse with newspapers from all over the world or can provice you with a quiet corner for you to read your newspaper, or just meet up with some of your friends for a cup of coffee - so check out their websites  (so far still in Danish) - or even better show up at the library to see for yourself.
